The Lampa film festival retrospective was included in the 2018 un geneva annual report
March 18, Mr. Michael Møller, Director General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, presented the UN Annual Report for the past year. Mr. Michael Møller noted:
“In an ever-changing world, UN Geneva continues to be far more than a repository of acquired knowledge, by strengthening its foundations, embracing the spirit of reform, and recognizing that only by adapting can it continue to serve the international community effectively. UN Geneva is pioneering new ways to deliver its core services more efficiently. We are finding new ways to better communicate the messages of our clients and our Organization, and evolving working methods to become a more modern workplace.”
A special place in the Report was taken by the LAMPA Film Festival Retrospective, a Russian event dedicated to the promotion of volunteerism through the language of cinema.
For the first time since 1985, since the International Volunteer Day was established by the United Nations, the Russian project has been included in the official list of the United Nations events dedicated to encourage all volunteers around the world!

The event was hosted by Katerina Shpitsa, Anton Bogdanov and Iana Poplavskaia, the jury members of the LAMPA Film Festival, Russian theatre and cinema actors.
Within the events of the Retrospective, the relevance of the LAMPA Film Festival was emphasised by Mr. Clemens Adams, the Director of UNOG Administration, Mr. Francesco Pisano, Director of the United Nations Library at Geneva, Chair of the Cultural Activities Committee at UNOG, Mr. Gennady Gatilov, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Office and other International Organisations in Geneva, Lyubov Glebova, Member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
