Short-list of competetive works for the LAMPA 2024 film festival was formed

Announcement of the shortlist of the LAMPA film festival is a long-awaited event comparable only to award ceremony of winners of the film festival! This year, 753 life-affirming and inspiring short films, videos and social advertising have been submitted from 60 countries all over the world.

According to the results of preliminary evaluation 60 competetive works were shortlisted from 16 countries: Russia, France, USA, Spain, India, Germany, Turkey, Armenia, Uruguay, Canada, Iran, Italy, Sweden, Republic of Belarus, Pakistan and Latvia!

Among the shortlisted directors, there are professionals and beginners but the concept and style are suitable for the LAMPA festival: showing possible ways of solving the revealed problem and turn on the light at the end of tunnel!

A lot of touching and sensual works were submitted to the competetive nomination of festival, dedicated to the Year of Family in the Russian Federation – “We are family”.

At the LAMPA festival's showings, viewers will find out whether it is worth writing a confession about absolute love and gratitude to a person who is no longer around, whether the irreconcilability of the closest people in the family can cause a kind smile, whether there is room for family happiness in a challenging situation - the films of the LAMPA Film Festival will find their way to the heart of every viewer.

Documentary short films are also full of intrigues! Viewers and representatives of the competetive works will take part in exciting discussions: is a breast milk bank relevant for women? Can a blind perfumer become a genius in his profession? Would the blockbuster "Titanic" have been filmed without Russian specialists? What do human skin, soil and development have in common?

In 2024, festival received a lot of vivid animation. Surely, both young and grown-up viewers of LAMPA's showings will be impressed by competetive cartoons.

In a special nomination from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in the Russian Federation - "The Way Home" - participants of the Film Festival will see works with actual problems of refugees and ways of solving these questions.

Shortlisted works will be showed at the festival in Perm (October 3-5). The awards ceremony will be held on October 5 as part of LAMPA FILM FEST 2024. We thank each participant of the LAMPA's 2024 competitive selection for their submitted works with the belief in their invaluable contribution to the development of inspirational cinema!
