The main character of the film «Special Status of Strong People» is Svetlana Izambaeva, the first woman in Russia with HIV, who opened her face and joined the fight against stigmatization of HIV-positive children and parents. Svetlana has been living with the diagnosis for 20 years.
Having passed a difficult way, Svetlana became engaged in the problems of people with HIV, she supports children with HIV-positive status and orphans, provides help to women and families who are going through a hard time.
Now she is one of the most famous women in Russia living with unconcealed HIV-positive status. Moreover, as a certified psychotherapist, Svetlana has set up her own foundation to help people who are facing this problem, is involved in educational and charitable activities, and provides psychological support. And yet she still manages to be a happy mother and wife.
At the LAMPA Film Festival 2022, the work took the prize in the category «Documentary Short Film».
