Nikita Mamonov and Yulia Raiskaya are filmmaker and CEO of the Doctor Clown Foundation, winners of the LAMPA Film Festival 2020 in the Short documentary film nomination. This is an example of a successful collaboration between a charitable foundation and a professional filmmaker.
"Doctor Clown. Doctor for Life" is a poignant story about the school of hospital clowning. About how an initial desire to be funny evolved into a common cause for very different people.
A doctor clown not only makes you laugh, he truly heals. It is therapy, an opportunity for a child to forget about their illness, even if only for a short time.
The importance of hospital clowning has been highlighted by many public figures: Elizaveta Boyarskaya, trustee of the foundation; Leonid Roshal paediatrician and director of the Research Institute of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology; and Maxim Matveev artistic director of the foundation.
Interest in the foundation is growing year by year. We wish the Doctor Clown to become a respected profession in our country.
