Natalia Lyukina had been living on the streets for 14 years and another 19 she had spent in jail. She was abandoned by her parents in early childhood and got used to being on her own since then.
The main lead of the short film «Speak» makes the hardships of life look easy and gives a fascinating and somehow naive optimism, leaving all the challenges she’s been through behind.
Now Nataila is living in a hostel supported by a charity organization and also takes part in volunteering activities by helping other homeless people. She uses her own experience to find an approach to people in need and change their lives.
This film shows a hard way of a homeless person of adjusting to society, overcoming the fear of living in their own house and learning to trust other people again.
