Paco’s an immigrant who wants a better life for his family in Manila. His family doesn’t know he’s working as a janitor instead of an engineer. When he learns that his family can’t afford to throw a birthday party for his kid. Not wanting to disappoint, Paco offers to pay. He works more and more shifts but the money’s never enough. Even after taking shifts from his coworker, he can’t send more money without running himself ragged. Paco finally reaches a breaking point and collapses. Unable to keep working for more pay, Paco is forced to sell his beloved watch, a reminder of what he was and could be.

On the day of his daughter’s birthday, his sacrifice pays off but when the video call cuts off, Paco is left alone.
