“Our Painting” is a found-footage film dealing with the environmental crisis. The movie consists of images and audio recordings created with artificial intelligence. It focuses on issues such as the rapid growth of industrialization since the Industrial Revolution, biophysical destruction, over-consumption caused by global warming and capitalism, and resource loss. The film's narrative is based on the visual similarities between nature and human pollution.
In the film, the monologue of a girl painting a landscape and the context created by the combination of shots and music help to convey a picture of the risk associated with critical attitudes towards climate change and pollution.
