Wanting to pass on their traditional way of cooking to their granddaughter, the grandmothers teach Nimbu how to cook different Indian dishes. However, they underestimate the creativity and enthusiasm with which Nimbu wants to add something new to the original recipes. Their granddaughter baffles them with every new addition, from new ingredients to “clumsy” shapes. The frustrated grandmothers take the creative granddaughter out of the kitchen to prepare the meal the traditional way. But, they feel a void in the space without the colorful Nimba. The grandmothers taste the girl's new creation and realize they jumped to conclusions. Nimba is returned to the kitchen, put up with and accepts the girl's new take on old cooking recipes... New ingredients become an integral part of the national menu!
