Going home

At the age of seven, David and his family fled the war in South Ossetia to his mother’s hometown of Berezniki, in the Ural region of Russia. There he found a new home and friends. He went to school and learned the Russian language. David is an artist. He has been drawing for as long as he can remember. Creativity is an integral part of his life. In 2014, after 23 years, the whole family decided to move to Georgia closer to their homeland. Together with parents and children, as one large, close-knit family, they are building a new life and living with the hope that one day they will be able to return to their homeland in South Ossetia.
