Retailer Mkhitar notices 13-year-old Karen, who puts his feet on the seat. Silently obeying Mkhitar's remark, Karen lowers her legs and turns away. Mkhitar enters into a dialogue with Karen. The boys' questions to each other are a mutual revelation. Karen decides to play chess, explaining to him the rules and subtleties. Karen, sets a chess problem to Mkhitar and goes to sell Mkhitar's goods, Mukhtar is immersed in his thoughts: is he thinking about the chess problem or about life in general?
