In the Special Region of Yogyakarta, emergency vehicles such as ambulances are often hampered while traveling to the hospital despite carrying critical patients. This triggered an initiative by a group of young people to form a community of volunteers named Team Escort Ambulance Jogja. They accompany the ambulance car so that it can get to the hospital as soon as possible. The team is involved in a variety of activities, from clearing the streets for emergency vehicles to dividing responsibilities within their group.
