Zheyuan was born with congenital blindness in Yunnan, China. Despite all the stigmas, he decided to pursue a career in playing the violin. The documentary portrays his attempt to master a violin masterpiece, Gypsy Airs, which is considered to be one of the most technically challenging violin pieces.
